US judge blocks Commerce Department order banning TikTok in the country

US District Court Judge Wendy Beetlestone provided a breather to the ByteDance-owned video sharing platform TikTok by blocking a US Commerce Department order set to ban the app in the country. The order was set to take effect on November 12. “Over 100 million of these TikTok users are within the United States, and at least 50 million of these US users use the app on a daily basis,” said Beetlestone.
美国地方法院法官温迪•贝勒斯通(Wendy Beetlestone)阻止了美国商务部下令在美国禁止字节跳动旗下的视频共享平台TikTok（抖音海外版），让该应用有了喘息之机。该命令定于11月12日生效。Beetlestone说:“在这些TikTok用户中，美国有超过1亿人，其中至少有5000万美国用户每天使用这款应用。”
