Century-old railway gets Winter Olympics upgrade
助力冬奥会 新时代下“百年京张”铁路再起跑
With less than one year till the 2022 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, China’s first smart high-speed railway that links the Winter Olympics’ two host cities—the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway—is ready for the event.
Delving into the original Beijing-Zhangjiakou railway, China’s first independently designed railway line, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway was put into operation in 2019, 110 years after the old one went into operation. The railway is 174 kilometers long, has 10 stations and is covered by China’s self-developed BeiDou Navigation Satellite System.

随着冬奥会的临近，今年下半年以后将进入临战状态，太子城车站成立了外语小分队，为中外宾客提供翻译、解答，包括票务咨询，雪具托运等各种业务的咨询。同时还加大了对人员的培训力度，除了要求每个工作人员都要会简单的英语之外，还通过各种培训提高礼仪服务水平。
