China is pushing COVID-19 vaccination for the elderly, especially for people aged 80 and above, as clinical data showed 65 percent of the severe COVID-19 cases in China are people aged 60 and above, and 65 percent of the severe cases involving seniors are not vaccinated, National Health Commission (NHC) said on Tuesday.
国家卫生委员会周二表示，中国正在推动老年人接种2019冠状病毒疾病疫苗，特别是80岁及以上的老年人，因为临床数据显示，中国65% 的2019冠状病毒疾病重症病例是60岁及以上的老年人，而65% 的老年人严重病例没有接种疫苗。
