Driver rescued after bus slides into river in Shanghai

6月28日10时47分许，在上海浦东新区南祝路、人民东路附近，一辆1038路公交车滑入中港河。28日下午，新闻晨报·周到记者获悉，这名59岁的公交车司机初步诊断系突发心梗疾病，目前已转入三甲医院救治，仍在留院观察，身体暂无大碍。
据此前一站下车的一名乘客反映，驾驶员自称感觉身体不适，让乘客下车，后该乘客发现驾驶员昏迷，见车辆向前滑行后掉入河中。
目前，事故原因正在进一步调查中。
A bus slid into a roadside river in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area on Tuesday morning, and the driver has been rescued and no passengers stayed in the bus, Shanghai police said on Tuesday.
The bus drove into the river after it knocked over two e-bikers, who were sent into the local hospital and are safe, according to the police.
A passenger who got off the bus in the previous station told the police that the driver asked the passengers to get off the bus and the driver claimed that he/she didn’t feel well. Later the passenger found that the driver was unconscious as the vehicle slid forward and fell into the river, said the police.
The video clips of the site showed that the front part of the bus was immersed into the river after the accident, and the back of the bus was still on the bank.
Further investigation is underway.
