Tencent Holdings announced plans to phase out online sales and services for the Chinese version of the Nintendo Switch console, starting in 2026. This decision impacts millions of users in China, a major global gaming market.
腾讯控股近日宣布，将于2026年逐步停止中国版任天堂Switch主机的在线销售和服务，此举将影响中国这一全球重要游戏市场的数百万用户。
According to a statement on the console’s official mainland website, Tencent’s eShop will cease selling both free and paid games and software on March 31, 2026. Other online functions, including code redemptions and downloads, will conclude by May 15, 2026.
根据主机大陆官网发布的声明，腾讯运营的eShop将于2026年3月31日停止销售免费或付费游戏和软件。其他在线功能，包括代码兑换和下载，将于2026年5月15日正式结束。
To mitigate the impact on users, Tencent will provide four free Nintendo games, with popular titles like Super Mario Odyssey and Pokémon: Let’s Go! Pikachu among the options.
