NetEase Shuts Down Game Project, Cuts Jobs in Shenzhen

NetEase, China’s second-largest video gaming company, has laid off employees in Shenzhen following the underperformance of its tactical mobile game, Hyper Front. Launched on August 30, the team-based shooter failed to meet expectations despite attracting over 10 million pre-release reservations.
中国第二大游戏公司网易因战术类手游《Hyper Front》表现不佳，决定裁减深圳部分员工。《Hyper Front》是一款团队射击类游戏，于8月30日上线，但尽管预售期间吸引了超过1000万玩家预约，其表现仍未达预期。
According to sources, the layoffs impacted a small number of employees involved with the project in Shenzhen, rather than representing a broader workforce reduction.
据知情人士透露，此次裁员仅涉及深圳办公室中少量参与该项目的员工，并非大规模裁员。
