Chinese E-commerce Merchants Expand in Russia’s Online Marketplaces
中国电商商家加速布局俄罗斯在线市场
Chinese e-commerce sellers are rapidly entering Russia’s leading online platforms, like Ozon Global and Wildberries, to explore new markets and bypass Western tariffs. Ozon reports over 100,000 Chinese sellers in 2023, a sharp rise from 10,000 in 2022. Wildberries also introduced a dedicated channel for Chinese merchants. Many sellers are not only using international platforms but also setting up local Russian stores, requiring Russian bank accounts, warehouse operations, and ruble-based payments. This expansion highlights the growing interest of Chinese exporters in Russia’s e-commerce landscape.
