The US has initiated a Section 301 probe into China’s alleged anti-competitive practices to dominate the semiconductor industry. The investigation focuses on “foundational” semiconductors critical to sectors like automotive, healthcare, infrastructure, aerospace, and defense. This move comes weeks before the Biden administration transitions to president-elect Donald Trump.
