Qualcomm Wins Key Battle in Chip Licensing Dispute with Arm
Arm
Qualcomm has successfully defended against Arm Holdings’ claim that it breached a chip design license acquired through its $1.4 billion purchase of Nuvia in 2021. A Delaware federal jury ruled that Qualcomm did not violate its licensing terms by using Arm’s technology in its chips without paying higher fees. However, the jury couldn’t reach a consensus on whether Nuvia breached the license, leaving that issue for potential retrial.
