Apple Settles Siri Privacy Lawsuit with $95 Million Fund

Apple has agreed to pay $95 million to resolve a lawsuit alleging its Siri assistant improperly recorded private conversations. While maintaining its innocence, Apple proposed the settlement, requiring court approval.

The lawsuit accused Siri of unintentionally activating on devices like iPhones, iPads, and HomePods, capturing and possibly sharing user conversations. As part of the settlement, affected US users could receive up to $20 per device, and Apple committed to deleting any recorded conversations and clarifying voice data usage.
