BYD Surpasses Tesla in Q4 EV Deliveries

BYD Auto, China‘s EV leader, outperformed Tesla in Q4 2024, delivering 595,412 battery electric vehicles (BEVs), a 13.1% year-on-year increase. Additionally, it sold 918,556 plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), up 120.7%. In comparison, Tesla delivered 495,570 BEVs globally, falling short of the 512,277 forecast, despite a 2.3% annual and 7.1% quarterly growth. BYD’s dominance highlights its growing edge over Tesla in the competitive EV market.
