Tencent Holdings is testing the integration of DeepSeek AI search into Weixin, aiming to enhance its services in social networking, e-payments, and ride-hailing with artificial intelligence (AI).

In the current beta version, users can click the “AI Search” option in Weixin’s search bar to access either DeepSeek or Tencent’s Hunyuan AI model, a company spokesperson said on Sunday. The feature is not available in WeChat, the app’s overseas version.
