Alibaba Group’s cloud computing and AI division opened its first data center in Mexico on Wednesday, marking a significant step in the company’s efforts to build digital infrastructure in key international markets.

With this launch, Alibaba Cloud announced that its global infrastructure network now spans 87 availability zones across 29 regions, further strengthening its position in the global cloud services market. Alibaba owns the South China Morning Post.
