China Leads in Humanoid Robot Industry Scale, Despite Tech Lag

According to a report by US investment bank Morgan Stanley, China is ahead of the West in terms of the scale of its humanoid robot industry, controlling more than half of the top listed companies, despite lagging in technology for certain key aspects.

In the research paper, analysts led by Adam Jonas highlighted that 56% of the 100 publicly-traded companies globally confirmed to be involved in humanoid robot development are based in China.

China is also home to 45% of the world’s integrators, companies that customize robots to meet end-user needs.
