Belgian police arrested several suspects in a corruption probe involving Huawei and the European Parliament. Prosecutors allege that since 2021, suspects engaged in bribery through lobbying, political sponsorship, and luxury gifts like travel and football tickets. Raids were conducted at 21 locations in Belgium and Portugal. Investigators suspect illicit payments were concealed within conference expenses and are also probing potential money laundering.
